had some waffles (yum) and a couple of snakebites (half stella half strongbow). so freaking tired after more walking arouind. met an egyptian guy who was friendly and all until he insisted on going with me back to hotel. um, i said no. and no. and still no.

oh, i'm so sorry! i should also have mentioned this: Sacha's gadgets are really impressive! especially considering all the stuff you can do with them ;)

ok i really have to get some sleep now. just had to send a message to my sister with some ideas. she's totally jealous that i'm here, she has wanted to visit Paris/France for the longest time. her french is quite good actually (took classes for a few years during college)

went crepe hunting for lunch and found some in Saint Michel (any kind of food hunting will work there, there's so much to choose from!). i thought i was hungry so i ordered their special, it was good but the portion was huge! And the chocolate got too sweet after a while...

took a nice stroll after that towards the Louvre. did some window shopping on the way. saw two Zara stores within a few blocks... and 2 H&M stores too! was thinking of buying some stuff (since my trip got extended and i didn't bring enough clothes) but let's see if i get to do laundry at my friend's place in Amsterdam. if not, we had planned to go shopping in Haarlem anyway.

after about 4 hours in the Louvre (and half hour in the Apple store) i was dead tired with terribly aching feet. well, at least i got my art fix and geek fix (thanks again @sachaqs ;)). i decided to go back to the hotel to rest a bit and then back out for dinner.

on the way back, while changing metro lines, there was this little store in the underground selling shoes. saw a nice pair of boots. last pair, he said. it was my size for 10 euros. How could i say no??

Picked a sushi place near the hotel for dinner. Heard the ladies speaking chinese so i ordered in chinese :D They weren't too chatty though, just pleasantly polite. The soup and the udon were delicious. Sushi was acceptable but I wouldn't go there just for sushi next time.

Now back in hotel room, calling it an early night as i have a train to brussels to catch in the morning. Might need to get up really early, not so much to catch the train (which is at 9:25), but to have coffee with.... well, someone who answered my job ad!! Haha, let's see what happens. This trip is turning out much more interesting than i ever anticipated. And it's only day 2!!

Thanks to @texrat i am now extending my trip for 4 days! He introduced me to his friend who'd be able to bring/show me around Frankfurt/Germany. So after Köln I'll be heading southeast instead of north to Bremen. Good thing ryan air flies from Frankfurt too!
