Take particular note of the quality construction for the bed. Those stains on the bedspring -- or maybe just an old mattress being used as a substitute bedspring, I'm not sure -- certainly aren't very appealing, either.

Our room. Lumpy, uncomfortable bed. Prairie ended up sleeping on the floor, which was slightly more comfortable, but a little worrisome in itself. Quite honestly, we kind of felt like we were on the set of CSI or Criminal Minds -- this place really looked, and felt, like the skeezy motels the teams on those shows are always called to. Not a comfortable stay.

Our least favorite hotel stay of the trip. When we were booking, we _thought_ we were booking at the EconoLodge chain of hotels. Instead, we booked at the Economy Inn, obviously a leftover from the 1950's heyday of route 101. Unfortunately, rather than being quaint and charming, it just felt kind of skeezy.

TYRANNOSAURUS

Pronounced: ty-ran-o-SAWR-us
Literally, "tyrant lizard"

50 feet long, 20 feet tall, Tyrannosaurus was the largest land-living meat-eater of all time. He weighed from 8 to 10 tons and was the "King of the Dinosaurs" during the upper Cretaceous period, some 70 million years ago.

BRADYSAURUS

Pronounced: brady-SAWR-us
Literally "slow lizard"

Bradysaurus was a large plant-eating Pareiasaur that lived during the upper Permian period of the Paleozoic era, some 225 million years ago. The Pareiasaurs were the dominant form of land-living reptiles during that period of time.

SEYMOURIA

Pronounced: see-MORE-ee-ya
Named for Seymoria, Texas where its fossils were discovered.

Seymouria was one of the ancestral "connecting links" between the more primitive amphibians and the true reptiles, with many of the skeletal featuers of both groups. He lived during the upper Permian period, some 250 million years ago.

ERYOPS

Pronounced: EAR-ee-ops
Literally, "drawn-out eye"

Eryops was a meat-eating Labryinthodont Amphibian that lived during the lower Permian period of the Paleozoic era, some 275 million years ago. Although only 7 feet long, he was one of the largest of the primitive ampbibians. His modern relatives are the frogs and salamanders.

PTERANODON

Pronounced: ter-AN-o-don
Literally, "winged and toothless"

One of the largest flying animals of all time, Pteranodon had a wing span of 27 feet. Like the dinosaurs, he was a cold blooded reptile, and lived during the Cretaceous period, 70 million years ago.
