Where have I been? Well, I know my fellow geeks will know immediately after this picture. I've been sucked back into the World of Warcraft so I haven't been spending much time on my usual haunts.

I picked up this hood tonight and I couldn't resist sharing since I know I can't be the only one whose mind goes straight to kink when I see it. ;c)

As for new photos... well... I feel like the queen of empty promises. Basically, chances to take them are few and far between and when I do have those opportunities, I either try and don't succeed in getting anything worth sharing or I am not in the mood (and mood is a must, really!) to take any.

We had a great Halloween. I finally let him put on his costume (sans mask) at two but told him we weren't leaving for trick-or-treating until five. That was probably the most excruciating three hours of his life. I think it may have been mine, too. Every five minutes he had to ask me if it was time, to which I'd remind him that he could tell time on his own so he didn't have to ask.

Finally, that the clock struck 5 and he rushed us out of the house. Jim feared it was too early so we started out by going to the so-called mall in town. Only about a third of the shops were both open and had candy but he didn't mind so much because he was totally entranced by the escalator. After a few rides, we managed to drag him out with promises of more candy.

We drove around a bit trying to decide where to go. We don't really have a neighborhood to speak of so we have to go elsewhere. We discussed various apartment and housing complexes and finally decided on a complex just up the street from us. It was the right decision. Most of the houses were participating in the holiday so in just a couple of streets, he'd amassed a good pile of treats.

All night long, most of the adults thought he was a Power Ranger while the kids knew better. He didn't like being called a Power Ranger but even bein called Bumblebee caused him angst. He'd protest, "I'm not Bumblebee! I'm Liam. I'm just wearing a Bumblebee costume!"

It was early enough when we started that there weren't many trick-or-treaters out but by the time we were finishing up, the sidewalks were quite full. Right at the end, we managed to get caught up with a big group of kids which in turn wound Liam up to where he started jumping around and pushing over the little ones so we decided to call it a night. I was sure he'd put up a fuss but I think he was ok with it because his candy basket was full because he held it up and just said, "Well, my work here is done!"
